At MUNEV, installing and setting up a home EV charger costs from €150 + VAT on a prepared site, where the supply cable and protection are already in place; the charger is priced separately. If the cable still has to be run from your consumer unit, the total depends mainly on the cable length and route, the protection needed and the room in your consumer unit. Send us photos and you get a firm price within one working day, without a site visit.
Two kinds of installation
| Your situation | What we do | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Prepared site: the cable already reaches the charger spot and the consumer unit has dedicated protection | Mount, connect, set up and commission the charger | from €150 + VAT, plus the charger |
| Full installation: no supply at the charger spot yet | The whole job, from the consumer unit to the charger | Firm price from your photos |
Prepared site: from €150 + VAT
A site is prepared when the supply cable already runs to where the charger will hang and there is a dedicated breaker and residual-current protection for it in the consumer unit. In that case the work is:
- Mounting the charger where you want it, indoors or outdoors
- Connecting it to the prepared supply
- Setting up the charger and the Easee app on your phone
- A test charge and commissioning before we leave
Full installation: priced from your photos
Most houses do not have a prepared site, so we do the whole job from the consumer unit to the parking spot. No two houses need the same amount of cable or the same protection, which is why we do not quote a fixed price without seeing the site. Photos are enough; nobody needs to visit.
What changes the price
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Cable length | The distance from the consumer unit to the charger sets how much cable and labour the job needs. |
| Cable size | The cross-section depends on the charger's power and the length of the run. |
| Cable route | Along a wall, in conduit, through a ceiling or buried in a trench: each takes a different amount of work. |
| Protection | The charger needs its own breaker and residual-current protection, sized to its power. |
| Consumer unit | If there is no room for the new protection, or the unit is in poor condition, it may need extending or replacing. |
| Charger and supply | The charger model and the power your single or three-phase supply allows. |
What the quote includes
- One figure for the charger, materials and labour, with any options listed separately
- The power the charger will run at, based on your supply
- A date for installation, which usually takes one day
- The price in the quote is the price you pay: no surprises on the day
Costs you usually avoid
Most homes do not need a bigger grid connection. The charger uses load balancing: it slows down when the rest of the house needs power, so the main fuse does not trip. If your supply really is too small for the power you want, we say so in the quote and explain the next steps before you commit to anything.
Photos for an exact price
- Your consumer unit, open, with the breakers visible
- The electricity meter
- The spot where you want the charger
- The route between the consumer unit and that spot
- The approximate distance in metres, if you know it
Send them on WhatsApp or through the form and you get a firm price within one working day. Our own installation team does the work, with no subcontractors, across Sibiu, Hunedoara, Timiș and Arad counties. More on what we fit: home charging.
